Serigrafia Zbioka Czajkowskiego „Open Mind”, to kontynuacja cyklu malarskiego „Od czego bolą mnie oczy”. Inspiracją dla tego cyklu jest domniemane na podstawie badań Aleksandra Schaussa działanie pewnego odcienia różu, jako koloru, który uspokaja, obniża agresję oraz obniża ciśnienie krwi i tętno. 

— Dla mnie używanie różu jest narzędziem w autoterapii. W swoich obrazach otaczam różem zachowania na które się nie godzę, otaczam różem przedmioty utożsamiane z przemocą fizyczną i symboliczną. Używam różu jako narzędzia do metaforycznej pacyfikacji różnej maści syfów, różowym traktuje szowinistów, seksistów, rasistów, przemocowców, faszystów i resztę szlamu na który nie ma mojej zgody. Fascynuje mnie kontrast pomiędzy niepozorną siłą sedacji różem a irracjonalną obawą mężczyzn o bycie słabym. — wyjaśnia Zbiok.

Twórczość Zbioka zakorzeniona jest w graffiti oraz street arcie. W praktyce artystycznej głównie posługuje się szeroko pojętym malarstwem, muralem, projektowaniem graficznym oraz ilustracją. Najbardziej rozpoznawalne realizacje artystyczne powstały w przestrzeni publicznej. Czajkowski operuje charakterystycznym stylem malarskim czerpiącym z estetyk ulicznych, malarstwa XX w mistrzów, popkultury oraz internetu. Tematy prac Zbioka dotyczą zagadnień nierówności społecznych, przemocy, dyskryminacji oraz alienacji jednostki. 

Czajkowski uczestniczył w ponad 100 wystawach i projektach prezentowanych m.in. w Polsce, Niemczech, Rosji, USA, Japonii, Indiach, Chinach oraz Wielkiej Brytanii. W latach 2008-2014 wspólnie z Joanną Stembalską z ramienia BWA Wrocław tworzyli biennale sztuki zewnętrznej Out of Sth. Od 2014 roku wspólnie z Karoliną Zajączkowską tworzy duet artystyczny DWA ZETA.

Od 2019 roku prowadzi zajęcia fakultatywne ze sztuki w przestrzeni publicznej w Instytucie Sztuk Wizualnych przy Uniwersytecie Zielonogórskim. 

W 2010 roku zdobył Grand Prix w konkursie młodego malarstwa im. Gepperta organizowanego przez Akademię Sztuk Pięknych we Wrocławiu. W 2011 roku został stypendystą Ministra Kultury i Dziedzictwa Narodowego. Obecnie mieszka i pracuje w Warszawie.

    We recommend a new serigraphic output by Zbiok Czajkowski “Open Mind” as a
    continuation of a painting series “the reason my eyes ache”. An inspiration for the series is an allegation based on Aleksander Schauss research dedicated to a particular shade of pink, that has sedative effects, reducing aggression and blood pressure as well as pulse.
    Zbiok’s work is rooted in graffiti and street art. In artistic practice he mainly uses broadly understood painting, mural, graphic design and illustration. His most recognisable artistic realisations were created in public space. Czajkowski uses a distinctive painting style derived from street aesthetics, early 20th century painting, pop culture and internet. The topics of Zboka's work concern issues of social inequality, violence, discrimination and alienation of the individual.

    Czajkowski participated in over 100 exhibitions and projects presented among others in Poland, Germany, Russia, USA, Japan, India, China and Great Britain. In 2008-2014, together with Joanna Stembalska they created the Out of Sth, the international public art biennial on behalf of BWA Wrocław. Zbiok together with Karolina Zajączkowska they form the artistic duo DWA ZETA since 2014.

    An inspiration for my latest series of paintings “the reason my eyes ache” is an alleged effect of a particular shade of pink known as Baker Miller Pink, Schauss Pink, Tant Pink or simply P-618. In the 70s Aleksander Schauss conducted research to understand mental states related to colors associations, in short the color that you find the most appealing can easily describe your mental state. Schauss decided to test 150 volunteers to check if it is possible to revert the situation and influence somebody’s mental state using colors. Among all the researched colors, light pink indicated the most sedative characteristics, reducing aggression and blood pressure and pulse.

    Baker Pink is only a curio and does not possess any special characteristics besides other notes of light, flesh-coloured, bitchy pink or bleached crimson, however the sedative effect is an unquestionable fact. Nowadays pink color is used in penal institutions among others in the United States and Switzerland in order to reduce the level of aggressive behaviors among the detainees. Both cells as well as corridors and clothes are in light pink color. A common psychological effect being in such surrounding is depression, apathy and also suicidal attempt. According to psychologists the reason of such actions is perceiving the pink color by the detainees as “not-masculine”, “faggot”, “women’s”.

    For me applying pink is an auto-therapeutic tool. In my works I use pink for expressing my disapproval related to abuse, physical and symbolic violence. Pink has become a tool to contest shit of all descriptions, I treat with pink chauvinists, sexists, rasists, bullies, fascists and the rest of the mess I do not agree with. I am fascinated with the contrasting effect of inconspicuous sedative strength of pink and irrational masculine fear of being weak.

    Since 2019, he has been conducting optional classes on Art in public space at the Institute of Visual Arts, at the University of Zielona Gora, Poland. In 2010, he won the Grand Prix in the Geppert young painting competition  organised by the Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw. In 2011 he became a scholarship holder of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage. He currently lives and works in Warsaw.
