Mononoke to kolejna praca z cyklu "Transtypia". Typograficznej podróży na wschód Valerego Viraga. Zestawiając lustrzanie łacińskie alfabet, uzyskał pismo, które naśladuje cyrylicę, niekiedy nawet skrypty azjatyckie. W ten typograficzny sposób tłumi swe pragnie bycia tamże.
