Mirella von Chrupek, urodzona w 1980 w Łodzi, na stałe mieszkająca w Warszawie. Fotografka, projektantka. Jej spektrum działania to także scenografia, aranżacja witryn oraz małe formy rzeźbiarskie. Swoje prace, instalacje i fotografie prezentowała m.in w BWA z Tarnowie, Galerii ABC w Poznaniu, CSW Łaźnia w Gdańsku, BWA Wrocław, Muzeum Etnograficznym w Warszawie, podczas Fotofestiwalu w Łodzi, czy w Instytucie Dizajnu w Kielcach. Wielbicielka paleoartu, tenisa i serialu Star Trek: The Next Generation.

W swojej pracy zajmuje się tworzeniem alternatywnych przestrzeni oraz równoległych światów. W latach 2014-2017 prowadziła uliczną galerię Gablotka mieszczącą się w centrum Warszawy na ul. Marszałkowskiej 41, w której cyklicznie prezentowała swoje aranżacje i mini światy. Współautorka książki pt. „Dino Bambino" o przygodach bohaterów kolejnych odsłon Gablotki (Wydawnictwo Wytwórnia, 2018). Na stałe współpracuje z magazynem „Kosmos dla Dziewczynek", gdzie ma stałą rubrykę pt. „mikrokosmos Mirelli". Stypendystka Ministra Kultury i Dziedzictwa Narodowego w latach 2014 i 2020.

"Kiss" is a screenprinted freeze frame from Mirella von Chrupek's cinematic universe.

— The film strip starts moving. We hear the clatter of the projector. We see a moving train. A couple is sitting in a compartment. They are reading. The train enters a tunnel. The man turns to the woman and kisses her passionately. The train leaves the tunnel. The couple returns to their reading. This is a brief outline of the scenario of the short silent film "A Kiss in the Tunnel" (1899) directed by George Albert Smith. We are witnessing one of the first kisses in the history of cinema. — introduces Mirella.

Mirella von Chrupek (born 1980). Artist, photographer, diorama designer, and collector. Her work includes also such domains as scenography and sculpture. In her recent digital photomontages, she uses archival materials to create imaginary landscapes freely mixing elements of fantasy and reality. Experiments with vintage photographs and focuses on human faces and their transmutations. Between 2014-17 presented to the broad public a personal micro-art gallery project called Gablotka, a display box located in the centre of Warsaw where she showcased altogether thirteen different installations. In collaboration with a writer Sylwia Chutnik published a photo book on the adventures of one of her characters (Dino Bambino, Wytwórnia, 2018). Since 2017 runs a personal bimonthly column in Kosmos dla Dziewczynek magazine. Her works have been featured in several galleries and museums over Poland: BWA Tarnów, Galeriia ABC in Poznań, CSW Łaźnia in Gdańsk, BWA Wrocław, National Museum of Ethnography in Warsaw, Institute of Design in Kielce. Participated in Łódź Fotofestival (2006). A holder of the Scholarship of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage of Poland in 2013 and 2020. Lives and works in Warsaw, Poland.
