Za naszą zachodnią granicą jest zwyczaj, gdzie przy polach pełnych kwiatów można spotkać puszki, w których zostawia się pieniądze za zerwane kwiaty. Tak po prostu, bez paragonu, bez kamer. Coś bierzesz, coś dajesz. Ta sytuacja społecznego zaufania, wymiany zachwyciła nas podczas pobytu kilka lat temu w centralnych Niemczech. O tym zwyczaju przypomniał nam bohater najbliższej wystawy w Kwiaciarni Grafiki Vladyslav Boyko.

To nasze „niemieckie doświadczenie” postanowiliśmy wykorzystać jako pretekst do wystawy „Blumen zum Selbstschneiden”, która zakwitnie sitodrukarskimi artefaktami, zainspirowanymi koncepcją samodzielnych kiosków z kwiatami w Niemczech. Jesteśmy niezwykle radzi, że Kwiaciarnia Grafiki w końcu zakwitnie również na ścianach, kwiatem symbolem wymiany i zaufania. Wszystko to przepuszczone przez język graficzny Vladka Boyko, w którym udanie flirtuje wektorowa synteza z romantyczną duszą. — Kwiaty są dla mnie absolutem piękna i życia — dodaje Boyko.

Wystawa Vladka Boyko, to efekt stażu w Kwiaciarni Grafiki. Gdy poznaliśmy Vladka na pytanie, dlaczego sitodruk, odpowiedział — W tym momencie dla mnie jest to medium, które łączy wirtualność i rzeczywistość. Czuję w tym więcej wagi i prawdy.

Ustaliliśmy wspólnie zasady: my uczymy, ty pomagasz. Finał: wystawa. Czas trwania stażu na tyle długi, aby obie strony były zadowolone. I tak oto razem stworzyliśmy nowy sposób współpracy, który nazwaliśmy SITO Debiut. Czy będą kolejne, czas pokaże. Chętnych zapraszamy do zaczepiania nas. Tymczasem zapraszamy na wystawę pełną serigraficznych kwiatów.

Vlad Boyko — ur. 2001 r. w Czernihowie, Ukraina. Artysta wizualny i projektant graficzny, swoją pracę bazuje na fotografii, typografii, oraz kolażu. Tworzy plakaty i identyfikacje wizualne dla kulturalnych i socjalnych instytucji. Zajmuje się również scenografią i animacją w sferze performatywnej. Studiuje Sztukę Nowych Mediów na Polsko-Japońskiej Akademii Technik Komputerowych w Warszawie. Inspiruje go urbanistyka, sztuka monumentalna i eklektyczna estetyka przestrzeni poradzieckiej. W swojej pracy często eksploruję relację między emocją i grafiką, formą i kontekstem, przestrzenią i człowiekiem.

Flowers - Picking Selfservice

Across our western border there is a custom, where by fields full of flowers you can find tins, in which you leave money for the flowers you have picked. Just like that, no receipt, no cameras. You take something, you give something. This situation of social trust and exchange delighted us during our stay a few years ago in central Germany. Vladyslav Boyko, the protagonist of the upcoming exhibition at Kwiaciarnia Grafiki, reminded us of this custom.

We decided to use this "German experience" of ours as a pretext for the exhibition "Blumen zum Selbstschneiden", which will bloom with screen-printed artifacts inspired by the concept of stand-alone flower kiosks in Germany. We are extremely happy that the Graphic Florist will finally bloom on the walls as well, a flower symbolic of exchange and trust. All this put through the graphic language of Vladek Boyko, in which he successfully flirts vector synthesis with romantic soul. - Flowers are for me the absolute of beauty and life - Boyko adds.

Vladek Boyko's exhibition is the result of an internship at the Graphic Florist. When we met Vladek, when asked why screen printing, he replied - At this moment for me it is a medium that combines virtuality and reality. I feel more weight and truth in it.

We set the rules together: we teach, you help. The finale: an exhibition. The duration of the internship was long enough to keep both parties happy. And so together we created a new way of working together, which we called SITO Debut. Whether there will be more, time will tell. Those willing are welcome to hook us up. Meanwhile, we invite you to an exhibition full of serigraphic flowers.

Vlad Boyko - born in 2001 in Chernihiv, Ukraine. Visual artist and graphic designer, his work is based on photography, typography, and collage. He creates posters and visual identities for cultural and social institutions. He also works with set design and animation in the performative sphere. He studies New Media Art at the Polish-Japanese Institute of Information Technology in Warsaw. He is inspired by urban planning, monumental art and eclectic aesthetics of the post-soviet space. In his work he often explores the relationship between emotion and graphics, form and context, space and man.

Kwiaciarnia Grafiki is a serigraphy studio, design studio and the only gallery in Poland focusing on hand screen printed works. Artefacts of the art of screen printing are distributed by the online store https://graphicsflowershop.com/. The presented prints are characterised by: uniqueness - hand screen printed serigraphs allow for short editions, ranging from several to several dozen copies. This repeatability of the technique has an impact on its democratic price, which they try to set at a level accessible to a fan or collector. Authenticity, each print is signed by the author.
