Nasza historia z sitodrukiem po części początek ma w Berlinie. Każda wizyta tamże ukazywała wielość pracowni sitodruku, gdzie sito było jednym ze składników tych miejsc. To berlińskie doświadczenie poszerzyło myślenie o naszej przestrzeni. Zakładając pracownię w Warszawie, wiedzieliśmy, że nie tylko pracą na komputerach będziemy żyć. Od początku w Kwiaciarni Grafiki pojawił się stół do sitodruku. Z roku na rok coraz bardziej odrywając nas od komputerów na rzecz ręcznych robót sitodrukarskich. Powstałych prac nie chcieliśmy chować do szuflady, więc naturalnie wygospodarowaliśmy również przestrzeń na wystawy, gdzie prezentujemy artystów pracujących z sitodrukiem.

Często opuszczamy naszą pracownię i wychodzimy z sitami między ludzi, gdzie drukując na żywo pokazujemy w jak prosty sposób sami mogą zostać drukarzami. Wziąć sprawy we własne ręce i zrobić coś autorskiego.

W ciągu roku zapraszamy kilku autorów do współpracy, której efektem są autorskie serigrafie. Wybieramy nie tylko artystów, którzy są z sitem z pan brat. Ale też i debiutantów. Przybliżając technikę, którą cechuje, to co w sitodruku dla nas najważniejsze: unikalność — ręcznie drukowane sitami serigrafie pozwalają na edycje, zamykające się od kilku do kilkudziesięciu egzemplarzy. Ta powtarzalność techniki zwiększa jej zasięg, ma również wpływ na bardziej demokratyczną cenę, którą staramy się ustawić na poziomie dostępnym dla fana, kolekcjonera sztuki. Autentyczność, każda grafika jest sygnowana przez autora.

Artystów z którymi współpracujemy musimy po prostu lubić. Nie tylko jako autorów, ale również przede wszystkim jako ludzi. Wymiana dobrej energii jest dla nas ważna. Grafika, która powstaje jest tylko śladem po. Sitodruk, to technika, która wymaga współpracy, wie to każdy kto drukował. I o tę współpracę nam w tym wszystkim chodzi.

For our next exhibition we're happy to invite you to discover the art of Graphics Flower Shop (Kwiaciarnia Grafiki in Polish), serigraphy and design workshop who will present serigraphy works from various artists including themselves. They are proudly promoting silkscreen technique and arts, organised more than 20 exhibitions and invited artists who often made their debut with the technique.

Graphics Flower Shop (Kwiaciarnia Grafiki in Polish) comments — Our silkscreen story to some extent has its origins in Berlin. During each visit to the city we were exposed to a great number of studios where the silkscreen equipment was the quintessence of the workshop. This Berlin experience influenced the perception of our own space. While establishing our workshop in Warsaw we knew we would not only live off working on the computer screens. From the very beginning there was a silkscreen working space incorporated. Year after year it drag us more and more away from our computers to silkscreen handcrafting activities. Naturally we did not want to put the creations into the drawers so we also arranged some exhibiting space to present other artists who work in silkscreen technique.

We often venture with the silkscreen sets and show people during live workshops how easily they could become silkscreen printers by themselves. We strive to incite others to take it upon themselves and do something creative.

Each year we host several artists and together we create serigraphies. We cooperate not only with artists who are familiar with the technique but also such who are taking their first steps with silkscreen printing. Introducing this technique, which is characterised by the most important for us aspects: uniqueness - handcrafted serigraphies allow limited editions up to several dozens copies. Repetitiveness of the technique extends its reach, provides also a more democratic price, that is adjusted to the affordability level of a fan or an art collector. Authenticity, each print is signed by an author.

We simply need to be fond of the artists we cooperate with. Not only as authors, but most of all as people. Exchanging the positive vibe is of great importance. The graphic outcome is just a “footprint”. Silkscreen technique is entirely cooperation dependent, which is clear to anyone, who had a hand in it. So it is all about collaboration.
